About

SARAH  CREAGH

From handbag designer to artist of the heart, my intuition has always guided my journey and allowed me to create my own path. Thank you for being here and receiving my story.

As a child whenever my mom and I went to the mall we would enter through Macy's and walk the handbag floor.  We never bought any handbags, but we always looked and appreciated the designs. Then upon entering the mall the first store we would pass was Coach.  I remember being pulled toward the bright, aspirational images and just noticing the feeling they stirred up inside of me.

I went on to study graphic design in University, but to my disappointment it just didn't click.  I finished my degree and then went on to do a one year career change program in fashion design at Parsons School for Design. Finally, my artistry flowed and my passion came alive, and wouldn't you know it I was hired for Coach's first ever Apprenticeship program.

As fate would have it, as a spare intern who had showed up to work well-dressed that day, I was pulled into a high level strategy meeting to fill in for a model that had canceled. It was the first time I was exposed to the business side of the industry and I was so inspired by all of it!  I went on to work in the industry for the next decade designing handbags for American fashion brands in Manhattan.

Then in the Fall of 2018 I launched my namesake handbag company, CREAGH.  Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of Brooklyn, I designed the perfect workbag for the woman who was creating her own path.  The brand was instantly recognized for its thoughtful and utilitarian designs and was featured in Harper’s Bazaar, Wall Street Journal, and Town & Country’s round ups of best workbags.

My mission for building CREAGH was to be creatively expressed, to hire and collaborate with emerging artists, and to celebrate people creating their own path.  However, the winds of change came leading me to put CREAGH on pause and birth Artist of the Heart.  It has been the process of moving from the designer archetype to the artist archetype, moving from the mind to the heart.  Although my work is shifting, much of my driving mission remains the same- to support creative expression.

With fifteen years of lived experience in leadership, team dynamics, growth mindset, and bringing large scale visions to life it is my absolute honor to work with fellow artists, creatives, and designers who are looking to lead themselves through life with vision, joy, harmony, and prosperity.
